IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE - KRIEGER BARRELS
March 02, 2021
Sue Schwebel
An equipment incident has been reported to the NRAA and it resulted in the failure of a Krieger barrel. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of this failure.
The NRAA has contacted Krieger Barrels USA and advised them of this incident. Whilst we continue to investigate the matter, Krieger have advised us of the following.
We encourage these barrel users (see serial numbers below) to temporarily stop and have their barrel inspected [by a competent Gunsmith], if their barrel is still in service, until the cause is fully investigated and identified.

If your barrel serial number is listed, could you please email the NRAA (executive@nraa.com.au) with your contact details and serial number so that we may provide that information to Krieger Barrels.
Please contact your barrel supplier if you are uncertain of your serial number.
Alternatively, if you had a Krieger fitted during 2016-2019 and you are unsure of the serial number we would recommend that you err on the side of caution and have your barrel inspected by a competent Gunsmith.
We believe that this is an isolated incident and we now have the serial number of barrels imported from the same batch so that we can attempt to trace those barrels. Safety is the responsibility of all of us – if you are unsure of your Krieger barrel from that period (only) please have it inspected.
